Studying abroad has become a grooming tool for the students who want to grow personally as well as professionally. This article will provide you with the steps which you could follow if you are planning to study in Europe:

STEP 1:
The difference is great in two conditions whether you apply to study as an undergraduate student in Europe, or moving from a university or college from another country. If you are applying as an undergraduate in any Europe University, then you need to prove you have successfully passed your upper secondary school / high school studies and your school leaving examination. In case, you have passed the leaving examination and your home country signed the Lisbon Convention or have a reciprocal agreement with the country in Europe where you will be studying, you might be exempted from taking the examination again. For checking the validity of your previous studies at high school to continue to higher education studies, contact either the university or college of your interest or the ministry of education of the country where you will be studying.

STEP 2:
Fr evaluate your status as a student, as it will determine how to apply for studies abroad in Europe. you will have to decide whether you will be an exchange or a free mover student. If you are aiming for entire degree course in Europe then coming as a free mover student might be the most appropriate option, but if you are coming for a specific period of time then exchange program is best for you. The differences among being a free mover or an exchange program student, here are the important ones:Exchange students submit their applications through their coordinator at their home school, while free movers must arrange all the documentation by themselves. If you have in mind an option of returning to your home school, you should make sure you agree in written with your teachers what courses you studied abroad will be recognized once you are back–this is done via Learning Agreement. Exchange students follow different application deadlines than the usual dates.

STEP 3:

Start finding a school which meets your demands best. Your personal expectations and academic profile should match with the school you are choosing for yourself. Your chosen school should match following things: the language of instruction, as languages can be different, such as English, Spanish, German or Italian. Then you should keep in mind the social activities your school would be offering as those will be important to keep you socially integrated. Thirdly, career opportunities–your college or university should be compatible with the career and field line you are choosing for yourself and should be helping you for future career options.

STEP 4:

Prepare yourself for admission tests. This might not be always the case but one should be prepared for the upcoming tasks. And your aptitude may also be tested for the course you are applying.

STEP 5:

You should keep your visa and residence permit ready for the journey as once you have selected your school of choice and have been admitted there, you may begin your process of applying for a student visa and residence permit. Students planning to live in Europe for more than 90 days will have to apply for a Schengen Visa and/or a residence permit. Usually this application is carried out through the Embassy where you can also find the answers to the questions you have in mind.
